Some Clarification…on Prophecy vs Prediction

2 Peter 1:20-21

Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation of things. For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

So recently a lot of increased insinuations (shade) has been thrown my way regarding my so- called predictions regarding the 2016 Elections… with the upcoming elections and all, I thought it was important to clarify somethings …

What is Prophecy? The Bible’s Answer

A prophecy is a message inspired by God, a divine revelation. The Bible says that prophets “spoke from God as they were moved by the Holy Spirit”

I do not consider myself as one who predicts ; rather it is my heart’s desire to be a pure and true vessel for God’s use and ultimately His Glory.

Psalms 24:3-4

Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord?

Who may stand in his holy place? The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not trust in an idol or swear by a false god.

There are times when He drops a message on my heart to share, mainly warnings about what’s to come if we His Body ( Body of Christ) does not repent from our wickedness.

2 Chronicles 7:14-15

if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place.

So whenever I am sharing a message from God I just come out and actually say it- i.e. “thus says the Lord”, the Lord placed this on my heart to share, etc. However, I honestly DO NOT remember ever saying anything like this regarding the 2016 Elections. Like a lot of others, I strongly believed that Hilary would win because it made sense to me simply because of what I saw and how it aligned with the Word of God from MY PERSPECTIVE – clear line of Love (1Cor13) vs hate! Even if God was trying to tell me otherwise , His message had to go through a lot of filtering because that’s how strong my belief in Hilary’s victory was. Again, I never came out of my mouth and said “God said that Hilary would win” and therefore I repeat- I don’t predict- I am simply a vessel who relays messages from God (prophesy) as He leads!

Therefore, please do not mock God by devaluing His gifts to the level of mere predictions nor psychic capabilities among other things. I know that there are secular definitions amongst others who have erroneously equated prophecy with predictions; however that is simply not the case.

Ephesians 4:11-13

So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

So Mika Brzezinka (MSNBC) and the many others – I hope this helps to clarify some things for you . If I’m wrong in anyway as it pertains to any insinuations on your part, my badd- however, if I’m correct in my assumptions regarding the implications- then please stop!

As always, I am always open for discussion. I do believe that we as a people should have open frank discussions in order to communicate, educate , heal and move forward!😘🙏🏾
