Call to Prayer for Trump…so that all may be well for us all…

1 Timothy 2:1-2

Instructions on Worship

I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.

This link to the New York Times article ( https://www.google.com/amp/s/mobile.nytimes.com/2018/03/23/us/politics/trump-chaos-trade-russia-national-security.amp.html) sums it up pretty well-

Trump is behaving erratically and that a very dangerous place for us to be.

Bottom line – his peace of mind = our peace of mind.

I am like Mary J Blige- ” no more drama”

I’ve had enough drama in my life to last a lifetime–I don’t want no more!

However, I realize that there’s a lot of us as a whole that do like ( if not love) drama hence the popularity of the reality shows and the drama that comes with them. And this weekend promises to provide us with plenty more… between the March for Our Lives and the Stephanie Clifford (aka Stormy Daniels) interview with 60 Minutes set to air this Sunday evening; just two headliners for this weekend – and who knows what else may come!

A lot of people are speculating and some are actually predicting based on a pattern and previous tendencies, that Trump will try to distract us from all of the drama that is centered around him and also causing him and those around him a lot of anxiety. We’re bracing ourselves in anticipation of some major announcements and/ or some more firings–who knows? 💁🏾

With everything that has happened up to this point – I and I hope at the very least – a handful of others – are concerned enough to put the aside the drama and seriously pray for his peace of mind. Like it or not- for the time being at least ( am I not trying to rush to have him replaced by Pence, as far as I’m concerned…the whole lot needs to go) – his actions DO affect us all!

So I would like to plea and strongly encourage you to resist the temptation to give into the fear and/or drama and pray for his peace of mind, this weekend especially and going forward. 😘🙏🏾🇱🇷

Philippians 4:6-7

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

James 4:7-10

Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.

1 Peter 5:8-10

Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.

And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.
